Halloween 2011 part 2

Many years ago Rob & I dressed as Mario & Peach *insert awww*
I finally dug up that Peach costume because some co-workers wanted to do a Mario theme at work (We do work with Toddlers, and parents who grew up in our generation). With my Co-teacher as Mario, my self as Peach, a childhood best friend as Luigi and her co-teach as Daisy, we only had to coax one more into going for Yoshi. The end result was photoshoped by my co-teacher Christan into this stellar piece of work!

Halloween 2011

Well, it's a bit late, but now that we're thinking of costumes for upcoming PAXeast I thought I should probably at least talk about the last costumes we made!
For Halloween Rob & I (Jaimi) came up with some pretty stellar Battle Star Gallactica costumes. We went as Apollo & Starbuck.
Colonial pistols were commissioned by Bill Doran (Rob's twin) over at punishedprops.com We had to get them mailed to our party destination, but they arrived on time and were stellar!
One of the toughest parts to nail down was probably the dog tags, which are hexagons, with print. With such a 'simple' costume, we really wanted to make sure the small details were done with extreme awesomeness. We ended up printing the design and words onto clear address labels, then sticking them to the metal we had cut out to the correct dimensions. They came out pretty amazing!
Here Lee Adama and Kara Thrace are enjoying a mighty fine brew in a Hoboken watering hole :)
